We gave former Reds captain Tony Vessey a tour of our new-look tunnel on Saturday and not surprisingly he loved it!

The four different panels representing a different period in the club's history including the period in the 1980s and 1990s when Vess, who these days commentates on our games on the club's iFollow channel, was Reds' skipper.

Tony is featured in two of the panels and said: "It looks absoultely fantastic and it's great that the club's history is being showcased in this way. Looking at the boards brings back lots of happy memories for me and hopefully Gaby and the current squad can make history of their own in the future."

The refurbishment was the brain child of Head Coach Gabriele Cioffi and his wish to improve the look of the tunnel.

Thanks to Fast Signs, the area now features four montages of images from from the club's history, going back to the post-war years at Town Mead, our Southern League success and promotion to the Football League.

There is also a panel featuring members of this season's squad.

On the exit to the tunnel the words 'Create Your Own History' adorn the wall.

Melanie Martinez, of Fast Signs, said: "I'm really pleased we have been able to create a new look tunnel for Gaby and the players. When the manager gave us his vision it was clear what he wanted to achieve and we are delighted with the end product. We are extremely proud to be a partner of Crawley Town and glad we could help create exciting and eye-catching images."

Operations Director Kelly Derham said: "Fast Signs have done a wonderful job and we're delighted with the look of the tunnel. It is important to reflect the history of the club going back many years as well as our time in the Football League. I must give special thanks to Reds' fan Mick Fox who provided a lot of the imagery."
