HK nominated for Manager of the Month and Enzio for Player of the Month in League 2
Reds’ impressive recent form has earned Head Coach Harry Kewell a nomination for January’s Sky Bet EFL 2 manager of the month.
And there is also a player of the month nomination for Enzio Boldewijn for January.
Having not won successive games all season, Reds managed it twice in January, collecting 12 points from five games. His players have embraced his favoured passing style while their improved fitness showed with late winners at Yeovil and Notts County.
Harry is up against Wycombe’s Gareth Ainsworth, Mansfield boss Steve Evans and Swindon’s David Flitcroft for the award, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday.
Ironically, Evans was the last Crawley boss to win the award, back in the 2011-12 season.
There are also four nominees for the L2 Player of the Month.
Boldewijn embodies the recent surge in confidence at the club.
Four goals in five games owed much to his speed, strength and a versatility in front of goal, from a stylish finish against Barnet to a looping header at Accrington.
His rivals for the award are Accrington striker Billy Kee, Coventry forward Marc McNulty and Newport midfielder Robbie Willmott.
The Player of the Month winner will be announced on Friday.
