Reds fans a credit to the club at Chesterfield

9 February 2018

Operations Director Kelly Derham has praised the behaviour of the 114 Reds fans who travelled to Chesterfield last Saturday.

Kelly said: “I received a lovely call this week from a gentleman who had gone to watch the Chesterfield game as a neutral fan and chose to sit with the Crawley supporters.

“He called to say what great travelling fans we had. They were very friendly, respectful and didn’t use bad language or abusive behaviour. He felt this showed what a lovely welcoming family club Crawley was.

“It looks like we’ve picked up another supporter as a result of their experience being with our travelling supporters.

“This is not the first time this season that I have received a message like this and it does not surprise me.

"I’d just like to pass on the thanks of everyone at Crawley Town to our supporters who travel away and are such good ambassadors for the club.”
