Conns: It's going to be tough but we're looking forward to Luton

12 February 2018

Mark Connolly knows Reds will have their work cut out to extend their good run when we head to League 2 leaders Luton on Tuesday.

But the defender says it's a test we should relish and not fear.

Saturday's 3-0 win over Grimsby was our fourth in a row and seventh in our last eight games.
That sequence included a win at Notts County, who were second before Reds won 2-1 at Meadow Lane last month.

"Luton away is the hardest fixture in the league. They are leaders, they're going to go up almost certainly, and they score lots of goals," said Mark.

"But we absolutely feel we can go there and get a result on Tuesday. It should be a cracking atmosphere as it always is there but we're going into every game feeling confident of getting a result at the moment and this one will be no different."

Reds have only conceded six goals in their last eight games and as satisfying as the three goals against Grimsby were, so was our clean sheet.

"The conditions were tough with the wind and rain and they had some tricky players," added Conns.

"So it was good to keep a clean sheet. The Cat (Glenn Morris) made a couple of good saves when he had to. Hopefully he won't be too busy on Tuesday!"
