Staffordshire referee Chris Sarginson will be in charge on Friday when Reds travel to Rodney Parade to take on Newport County.
It will be his eighth appointment to a Crawley game, and first since last February’s 2-1 defeat at Luton Town. He was also in charge of the 3-2 win at Morecambe last season.
Mr Sarginson took charge of his first Reds game in April 2012 – a 3-1 home win over Northampton.
Since then he has refereed us against Chelmsford City (3-0, Dec. 2012), Scunthorpe United (1-2, Feb. 2013), Bristol Rovers (0-0, Dec. 2013) and Colchester United (1-0, Mar. 2014).
In 29 games this season he has given out five red and 100 yellow cards.
On Friday, he will be assisted by Ian Smedley and Ravel Cheosiaua. The fourth official is Sam Allison.
