A busy week continues for Reds on Friday morning when we play Brighton & Hove Albion at the Seagulls’ training ground, kick off 11am.
Having already played Ipswich Town and Arsenal this week, Crawley are also in action on Saturday against Charlton Athletic at East Court, East Grinstead, kick off 3pm.
New signing Romain Vincelot will play some part against his former club on Friday but Filipe Morais will be working with the club’s strength and conditioning staff to bring his fitness up to speed.
Jimmy Smith, Brian Galach and Ashley Nathaniel-George are continuing their rehabilitation from injuries and won’t be involved in either the Brighton or Charlton games. The Brighton match will be played over two 30-minute halves at their training ground behind closed doors.
Head Coach Harry Kewell said: “It’s been a very good week in terms of preparation for August 4 which is what we’re working towards of course.
“We’ve had two good games and two good sessions on the training ground this week. The boys have worked extremely hard and with Romain and Filipe in the group now the squad is coming together nicely.
“Brighton will be another good test for us but it’s another opportunity for the players to test themselves against the very best. We will be having another look at some trialists again and that will also be the case on Saturday against Charlton.”
