SUMMER UPDATE #3 WITH KELLY DERHAM

Latest news from the Operations Director

30 July 2018

Ticketing system

As you may know, we launched a new ticketing system at Saturday’s friendly with scanner entry into the stadium. The system was only installed a few days prior to the game and, as anticipated, there were some teething problems, although the majority of supporters who have been in touch had a positive first impression.

We will work hard to iron out any inefficiencies prior to the Stevenage game on August 11 but the most important thing for our fans to remember is to use the turnstile number on your ticket.

There are still some minor issues to overcome with regard to the new print-at-home online ticket facility. We should have this up and running this week and when it’s announced we will let you know through the usual channels.

Stadium catering

I’d like to apologise for the shortage of stadium catering on Saturday. Our external contractors had acute staff shortages at what is their busiest time of the year and we were only able to open one unit. We are meeting them this week to discuss this and their pricing strategy, which was another issue raised after Saturday. The club gets the same fee per game regardless of the attendance but we are anxious that catering still offers everyone value for money and a quality product. I’m confident the issues will be ironed out before the Stevenage game.

Fans’ Forum

We will be holding a forum with Harry Kewell in August, which will give you the opportunity to speak to our Head Coach and also our Director of Football Selim Gaygusuz. The date will be communicated as soon as possible via our usual channels.

Part-time roles

We have some part-time vacancies for work on matchdays in the Ticket Office or Shop. If you are interested or know someone who is please email me: kellyderham@crawleytownfc.com

We’re also looking for a new Reggie to work on home matchdays. If you’re the sort of person who enjoys performing in front of an audience, can make people laugh and, of course, is a big Reds fan we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Joe Comper by email joecomper@crawleytownfc.com if you fit the bill!

Please get in touch if you have anything you want to raise by emailing me.
