A welcome visitor to the Ticket Office this week was Reds fan Eric Strange – who has renewed his season ticket ahead of his 65th season watching his favourite team.
Eric, who is 92 years old and lives in West Green, began watching the club at our old Town Mead ground back in the 1950s and will be taking up his normal seat in row C of the West Stand again when the new League 2 campaign – our eighth as a League club – kicks off in August.
Eric said: “I still love coming down to every game and getting behind the team.
“We’ve had some highs and lows during my time supporting the club but I never thought we’d ever be a Football League club and going to places like Old Trafford.
“I’m looking forward to the new season, and hopefully we can push for the play-offs under Harry Kewell.”
