HK: Big test tonight but we will relish the challenge

Head Coach with his thoughts ahead of Wycombe game

21 March 2018

Head Coach Harry Kewell says tonight's opponents Wycombe present as tough a challenge as possible in League 2 at the moment.

Gareth Ainsworth's side could go third if they improve one of the best away records in the division by claiming their tenth win on the road.

But HK says his side are relishing the challenge of continuing their excellent form at the Checkatrade Stadium (kick off 7.45pm), where we have only lost once in the last 12 League outings.

"In this division at the moment there is probably not a harder game than Wycombe. We know all about their qualities from earlier in the season when they beat us at their place and they've been up there in the top six or seven for most of the season.

"But what a game for us this is. Our home form has been excellent in recent months and we've had some very good results against the top sides.

"We're focused on what we can do tonight, how we approach the game and what we can do to hurt the opposition. It's a game and a challenge we're all really looking forward to."

Josh Yorwerth completes a two-match ban and Josh Doherty is also out after having surgery on his broken hand yesterday.

But Jordan Roberts has returned to training and is in contention for a return.

HK has appealed to the Reds fans to make plenty of noise tonight.

"100% we need the fans behind us tonight as they have been," he added. "Believe me, it makes a big difference. We're trying to entertain them with the way we play but we also want to win games of football as well."
