SENIOR CUP FINAL WILL BE AS TOUGH AS ANY LEAGUE GAME

9 May 2018

Harry Kewell looks ahead to tonight's meeting with Brighton under-23s

Harry Kewell anticipates one of the toughest games of the season tonight as Reds aim to finish the campaign by lifting the Sussex Senior Cup for the first time since 2005.

We take on a Brighton & Hove Albion under-23 team who have set the pace in Premier League 2 this season and face a promotion play-off at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Head Coach said: "I've seen them play a few times this season. Their coach Simon Rusk has got them playing really well and they have threats all over the pitch. It will be as difficult a game as we've had all seasons.

"They play the right way and although the Amex is a neutral venue it is still a ground that they will be more familiar with than ourselves.

"So it will be a really good game hopefully between two teams who want to play the right way. It's a wonderful stadium to play in and we want to produce a performance that does us justice and hopefully gives us the opportunity to win some silverware.

"We want to win every competition we enter and the Sussex Senior Cup is no different."
