Lincolnshire official Darren Drysdale will take charge of Tuesday night's Checkatrade Trophy Group Stage match with Gillingham at the Medway Priestfield Stadium.
Mr Drysdale has officiated at Championship level and has only taken charge of two Crawley fixtures in the past. the first was 1-1 draw at Hereford in November 2011, with the other being a 2-0 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers in December 2015.
He will be assisted by Kevin Howick and Christopher Kidd. The Fourth Official has been named as Lloyd Wood.
