GABY'S APPEAL TO REDS FANS AHEAD OF YEOVIL GAME ON SATURDAY

27 September 2018

Head Coach Gabriele Cioffi has a dream – to see the Reds playing in front a full house at the Broadfield Stadium.

The Italian made himself an instant favourite with the fans after running onto the pitch to join in the celebrations when Panutche Camara made it 2-0 in his first game in charge against Morecambe a fortnight ago.

And ahead of a tough-looking test against Yeovil on Saturday (3pm) Gaby has been outlining his ambitions for the team.

“To play in a full stadium of fans – that is my dream,” he said.

“To be able to show to the supporters and the town of Crawley that we are a good team who play with heart and passion and play good football as well. And that we are as one – players, staff and of course the supporters.

“A bigger crowd helps us in so many ways. When the players are tired they will give us more energy. When we are up against a tough opponent they can encourage us and make us stronger.

“I hope the supporters were happy with the performance against Morecambe but I know we can do better and we will do better.

“And hopefully we will see more of our fans coming in future. I am sure there are supporters of the team who have not been to the stadium for a while – this is normal in football.

“To bring them back takes time, I understand this but we would love to see them here on Saturday because it can make such a difference for my players.”
