HEAD COACH AWARE OF YEOVIL THREAT

28 September 2018

Head Coach Gabriele Cioffi is aware of the threat Yeovil Town will pose when they arrive at the Broadfield Stadium for Saturday’s League 2 action.

Yeovil manager Darren Way (pictured) saw his side establish a new club record when they went 522 minutes without conceding a goal. That sequence included a superb 6-0 win at Newport County in their last away game.

Their good run ended with a 3-0 home defeat to Swindon last Saturday but they recovered from a goal behind on Tuesday to draw 1-1 with high-flying MK Dons.

Gaby said: “They had one bad defeat last week but then on Tuesday they had a very good performance against Milton Keynes.

“They have a tough defence, quality in midfield and speed up front. To win 6-0 away against any opponent in this League is a fantastic performance.

“So we will have to be ready for them but we will. They will give us a big challenge but we are prepared for this.”

Striker Diallang Jaiyesimi (knee) and defender Omar Sowunmi (ankle) both left the field during Tuesday’s game and their injuries are being assessed. Neither is in contention to play tomorrow.
