SEASON TICKET HOLDERS GO FREE AT CRAWLEY WASPS THIS SUNDAY

15 August 2019

Crawley Wasps, the area’s leading women’s football team, will begin yet another exciting new era this Sunday.

After back-to-back promotions, Wasps are now competing in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, the third tier of women’s football – the equivalent of men’s League One.

Reds fans may recall their thrilling run to the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup last season, leading to a glamour tie against Arsenal – losing only 4-0 in front of 1,550 fans at Oakwood FC.

The crowd that day included Reds boss Gabriele Cioffi, who was impressed by Wasps’ performance and invited the squad to our League Two win over Grimsby in March. Later that month, Wasps played Billericay Town at the People’s Pension Stadium.

Paul Walker’s exciting and in-form team, who have lost just one league game in two years, begin the 2019-20 season against Plymouth Argyle on Sunday.

The game will be played at East Grinstead Town’s East Court stadium (kick-off 2pm). All Crawley Town season-ticket holders will get in FREE (usual price £5 adults, £2 OAPs/U18s, U12s free).

Wasps will also face the likes of Watford, Cardiff City, MK Dons, Oxford United, Portsmouth, Gillingham and Yeovil Town this season, as they take on the highest-level of football in the club’s 28-year history.
