TRAVEL TO MACCLESFIELD AND NORTHAMPTON FOR JUST £10

24 August 2019

Over the past few weeks we have been in discussion with the club's former benefactor Paul Hayward on how we could work together to reduce costs so that more fans would travel to away games supporting the team.

Thanks to Paul we have been able to halve the cost of away travel to £10 per person which is a fantastic offer and also includes your buffet lunch en route to Macclesfield (September 7) as well as Northampton (21st).

If you have never travelled with us then please give us a try – our coaches are provided by Premier Transport based in Crawley, so a local company.  The coaches are comfortable with decent leg room and some are only a few months old. They have toilet facilities, USB charging ports at each seat and DVD/Radio for entertainment – usually a bad choice of CDs are played but don’t let that put you off!

We mostly prefer to stop at country pubs, located just off the motorway, with a buffet lunch provided. However, if you prefer not to drink alcohol, and we have regular travellers that don’t, then tea, coffee and soft drinks available at all our stops.  If this trial is successful it could be offered on future away matches.

Macclesfield (31 booked already)

We depart from the stadium at 8am and travel to the Cross Keys in Castle Donington for the buffet lunch. We will stop at the Watford Gap services for a short comfort/coffee break if time and traffic conditions allow at about 10am.

We aim to be at the Cross Keys for 11.30am and then depart at 1pm arriving at Macclesfield for about 2.15pm. After the game it will be straight back to Crawley with another short comfort stop and would expect to be back at 9.45pm

Northampton (33 booked already)

We depart from the stadium at 9.30am (we have decided to bring this earlier than previously advertised so that we can get round the M25 a bit earlier). We have buffet stop options should we need to take two coaches – this will be confirmed once we know numbers.

For this match we will allow 15/16 year-olds to travel unaccompanied provided we have parent’s permission and they can be dropped off and pick up from the stadium. The return trip to Crawley would be non-stop and we would expect to be back by 7.30pm.

Whichever coach you travelled on, please let us know how you felt the day went as we always appreciate feedback.

To book on either or both coaches please contact either Alain on 07771-792346 or Alain_harper@icloud.com or Patrick on Facebook or Twitter (@GHCoaches).
