Crawley Town were back in the national spotlight on Tuesday night after we knocked Premier League Norwich City out of the Carabao Cup.

When the teams were read out and it became clear that Norwich had a completely new line-up, Crawley knew there was a chance of a shock. Crawley boss Gabriele Cioffi said: "The stadium was rocking. The first time I came here I had this vision. We can enjoy the result then it is back to work for Saturday's game."

Some may not treat the Carabao Cup with too much respect but that does not, and now will not, include Crawley Town. Last night they beat a top flight team for the first time in their history and it will not matter a jot to those in north Sussex that Norwich's priorities clearly lay elsewhere. Norwich fans will not have been pleased that a difference of three divisions between the teams was not always very evident.

Tom Dallison was a rock in the Crawley Town defence as they beat the Canaries and he wants the Reds fans to have another chance of seeing a Premier League side at The People's Pension Stadium. He said: "I would love another Premier League team. I would love to give the fans another big team at home but whatever comes comes." And when pushed, he said: "I would love to play Spurs."
Norwich Evening News - Roberts: You can't say we didn't take it seriously
Norwich winger Patrick Roberts insists his side did not underestimate the chances of a cup upset. "Obviously it's not worked but I thought we played really well and that cutting edge at the end just wasn't there. But these things happen, these are tough nights and tough places to comes and you've got to be on top of your game," he said.
