OPERATIONS UPDATE WITH KELLY DERHAM

KELLY'S PROGRAMME NOTES FROM SATURDAY

25 February 2019

Kelly's programme notes from Saturday's match.

Good afternoon and welcome to The People’s Pension Stadium for today’s match against Macclesfield Town. I’d like to extend my welcome to the players, fans, directors and staff from Macclesfield.

I’d like to start by thanking our long-serving Ticket Office Manager Sophie Harding who is leaving us at the end of next week, so this will be her last game with us today. Sophie has been with us for over five years and has done an excellent job managing the ticketing and retail side of the club and has been instrumental in helping us roll out our online ticketing service. She has been a big character at the club and will be missed not only by all of us behind the scenes but I’m sure by the many supporters who have got to know her when visiting the Ticket Office. We wish her all the very best for the future.

Sophie’s departure means we are now looking for someone to take over her role. We are currently taking applications for the role of Ticket Office Manager and a full job description can be found on our website or social media pages. If you would like to apply for the role, please email joecomper@crawleytownfc.com with a cover letter and CV by this Monday, 25th February.

It was really pleasing to see so many of you at the Fans Forum just under a fortnight ago. It was a successful event and the supporters asked some important questions.

Fans Forums are great for us because it is important for the club to connect with the supporters. It was Gaby and Nathan’s first forum and he handled some difficult questions very well. I hope that it gave people peace of mind regarding any concerns that they raised and they were happy that football management and board were able to explain certain aspects of the running of the club, namely the budget, which I know was a contentious issue for some of you.

On the subject of budgeting, we are already well underway with our preparations for next season and everything is under review from kits to catering and retail to ticketing. As always, we will communicate any details as and when they are confirmed in relation to season tickets for the next campaign.

Our Commercial Manager Joe Comper mentioned at the Forum that he is looking to form a supporter’s panel to raise issues within the club and help improve the matchday experience for everyone at the stadium. If this is something you’d be keen to get involved with, email Joe at the address above and he will be able to provide information and answer any questions.

As always, if anybody has any concerns, feedback or enquiries, please do not hesitate drop me a line to kellyderham@crawleytownfc.com. If there’s anything we can do better, we’d love to know.

Finally, thank you to all the supporters who backed us on the road at Northampton Town last weekend. Your support is always appreciated and you helped us onto a good point on our travels. Please stick with us and get behind the boys again this afternoon for what is a very important match.

Kelly
