James Oldham will referee his first EFL game on Saturday when he takes charge of Reds' League 2 trip to Carlisle United.
Last season Mr Oldham was on the National League list and took charge of 19 games including the play-off semi-final between Fylde and Salford. He issued 55 yellow and three red cards across those 19 matches.
His assistants on Saturday are Geoff Liddle and Helen Byrne. Barry Gordon is the fourth officlal.
