REDS TO TRAIN AT HORSHAM'S HOP OAST STADIUM

29 June 2019

Crawley Town are delighted to confirm we have reached agreement with Horsham FC to use their new Hop Oast Stadium as our training base, subject to contracts being signed.

The Hop Oast Stadium was opened earlier this month and included in its facilities are two new 3G pitches as well as clubhouse and ancillary facilities.

Operations Director Kelly Derham said: “We have been working with Horsham for the last six months and we are thrilled to be using their superb facilities for squad training.

“As everyone knows, we have had issues with regular training facilities in recent years and long-term, as I announced earlier this month, our ambition is to have our own training ground.

“But with the best will in the world this is still some way off. Hop Oast is a superb facility and the directors at Horsham have been very accommodating in helping to meet the training needs of Gaby, his management team and players.”

As part of the partnership, Reds will be visiting Horsham for a pre-season friendly on July 20. The two clubs will also work closely on initiatives such as Crawley Town providing Horsham with loan players as the Hornets prepare for the new season in the Isthmian League premier division following promotion in April.

Gaby and the squad will hold their first training session at Hop Oast on Monday, July 1.

He said: “This is a fantastic facility for us to work. The pitch is good and the changing rooms and other facilities are what we need. I would like to thank everyone at Horsham for their hard work and to Joe and Bruce at the club for seeing this project through. It’s nice to have a place we know is going to be our training home for a long time to come.”
