KELLY DERHAM'S TRANMERE PROGRAMME COLUMN

8 May 2019

Good afternoon and welcome to the end of another season and our fixture against Tranmere Rovers.

It promises to be a big crowd with Tranmere bringing a sizeable contingent. We welcome everyone associated with our visitors, wish them a safe journey home and every success for the remainder of the season.

We were all delighted to win the EFL’s Family Excellence Award for the third season in a row last week.

It is a testament to the hard work of our full-time and matchday staff that we are able to provide a welcoming environment for supporters, and especially families, despite having very little financial resources to support our initiatives.

We have made some improvements to our facilities during the season and we are planning more work in the summer to make our matchday experience even more welcoming.

We had a really enjoyable Awards Dinner last Tuesday night and I would like to thank all our staff members, and in particular Tom, Bruce and Joe, for their hard work in presenting such a professional event.

Congratulations to all the winners, and in particular Glenn Morris who won the Player of the Year award for a third successive year and is a really worthy recipient. I’d also like to thank Paul Hayward whose generous donation enabled over 30 of our fans to come along to join us on the evening.

Next Tuesday the hard work starts for us behind the scenes! We have lots of plans in place ahead of the new season and these will be unveiled over the next few days and weeks on our website, through emails to our fanbase and on social media.

Season tickets are now on sale and I would encourage all our fans to consider a season ticket or make sure you renew and remember there is a hefty discount if you buy before May 31.

Enjoy your summer break - see you in July.
