SUPPORT OUR BRUCE IN HIS FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE WITH MIND

13 May 2019

The club's Communications Manager Bruce Talbot is seeking the support of Reds’ fans when he takes part in this summer’s charity challenge being organised by the EFL for the league’s chosen charity Mind.

Along with representatives from each of the 72 other clubs, Bruce will be undertaking a 40-mile overnight trek in the Peak District in July.

Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales and works for better mental health for everyone. Each year 1 in 4 people experiences mental or emotional distress, and many will face stigma and discrimination and won’t get the support they need. They became partners of the EFL last year.

Bruce said: “Since Mind formed their partnership with the EFL I have got to know more about their fantastic work and I will be trying to raise as much money as I can.

“When (Operations Director) Kelly Derham asked for volunteers to take part in the trek as the club’s representatives she was so relieved when I said I would do it because it meant she wouldn’t have to. In return she has said she will make a hefty donation to my fundraising which she has.

“I have so far raised £440 and would like to thank all those who have sponsored me so far but I am hoping to raise at least £1,000 and I hope Crawley fans can help by making a donation, large or small, to help Mind continue their great work.”
