REDS ANNOUNCE PALACE FRIENDLY

Reds to take on a young Crystal Palace side behind closed doors tomorrow.

14 August 2020

With training back underway under strict COVID-19 guidelines, the Reds will be taking on Crystal Palace U23 in our first pre-season friendly at The People’s Pension Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The game will be played behind closed doors at 1pm, with full social media coverage available across the afternoon.

Tomorrow’s clash will be the Reds first piece of action since the 3-0 victory over Oldham Athletic at The People’s Pension Stadium, where goals were scored by Ricky German, Ashley Nadesan and Bez Lubala.

New signings Zaid Al-Hussaini, Sam Matthews, Sam Ashford, Tony Craig, Archie Davies and Tyler Frost could all feature against the young Eagles, who have not played competitive football since March, where they lost out to Watford’s U23 side.

The match will unfortunately not be streamed live at the discretion of Crystal Palace FC.

This fixture, as are all of the Reds pre-season matches, is strictly behind closed doors with no access to fans. Any fans who attempt to gain entry will be ejected from the footprint of the stadium and may face future disciplinary actions from the football club.
