The Reds will face Gillingham and Ipswich with a final opponent being drawn on Tuesday afternoon.
An invited Premier League club will be drawn on Tuesday afternoon live on Talksport Radio to complete Group B of the southern section.
The possible clubs the Reds could find in their group are as follows:
- Arsenal
- Brighton
- Chelsea
- Fulham
- Norwich
- Southampton
- West Bromwich Albion
- West Ham
The Reds were knocked out of the group stage in last year's competition after losing to Portsmouth, Oxford United and Norwich U21 in the group stages.
Dates for the individual fixtures will be announced upon completion of the draw.
The Draw will be completed Live on TalkSport radio at 1:30pm on Tuesday 18th August.
