The Reds have been drawn at home to Premier League side Leeds United in the third round of this year’s Emirates FA Cup.
Sides from England’s top two tiers have now entered the competition as a total of 64 teams were pulled out of the hat. Round three fixtures are scheduled to take place across Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th January.
Crawley reached the third round after beating AFC Wimbledon 2-1 at the newly built Plough Lane yesterday afternoon. Goals from Ashley Nadesan and Max Watters either side of half-time cancelled out a Joe Pigott opener.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side currently sit twelfth in the Premier League after beating Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides as the Reds look to progress to the fourth round of the cup for the first time since the 2011/12 season.
Leeds were knocked out of last year’s Emirates FA Cup by holders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
More information about the fixture including time and date will be confirmed in due course.
