Crawley Town Football Club can this evening confirm that the EFL will be FULLY refunding fans who purchased a match pass for Saturday's Carabao Cup fixture against Millwall.
Issues that were outside of the club's control severely affected fans viewing experience of Saturday's clash with Championship side Millwall, with some vans being unable to get a picture until approximately 30 minutes into the game.
Having promptly lodged a complaint with the EFL, we received confirmation today that all fans who purchased a match pass will be fully refunded for the issues caused.
A representative from the EFL said: "Shortly before kick off the video froze. It appears that this was an issue between the encoder/decoder set-up that pushes the feed from IMG to Endeavor.
The encoders needed to be re-started in order to get the match back online.
We had checked shortly before kick-off (as we do with each club) and all was fine. That this happened at all is extremely frustrating, but the timing of when it went down even more so and it will be of no comfort to hear that all other matches were streamed without any glitches.
Please let me offer my apologies, both on behalf of EFL Digital and via Endeavor Streaming."
