REDS MOURN LOSS OF FORMER CHAIRMAN

Former Reds Chairman Vic Marley has passed away.

5 February 2021

Everyone at Crawley Town Football Club is devastated to hear of the passing of former Chairman, Vic Marley.

Vic was Chairman of the club from May 2007 through to April of 2013, seeing the Reds progress from non-League all the way through to League One before his departure in 2013. Marley joined Crawley’s board of directors in 1999 when the club was competing in the Dr Martens League.

Marley was also heavily involved with the club’s Community Foundation.

In an interview with the BBC upon his departure, Vic Marley said: “For me, the greatest satisfaction is seeing the club in a far better position than when I joined.”

“The last six years have certainly been eventful. It has been an honour and a pleasure to be Chairman during the most successful period in our history,” Marley added.

Everyone at the club would like to extend their best wishes to the family of Vic Marley, a true Crawley Town legend whose name will live on in the history of the club for many years to come.

Rest In Peace, Vic.
