Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that midfielder Sam Matthews has joined Aldershot Town on loan until the end of the season.
After suffering an injury to his shoulder on the opening day of the season in Hartlepool, Sam was forced to have surgery, which kept him out of action until November. Matthews returned to action in the Papa John’s Trophy as Crawly lost out to a young Southampton outfit.
Since then, Matthews has played a further six times, and on his return to Sky Bet League Two action, the midfielder picked up a vital assist in Crawley’s 1-0 victory away at Northampton Town.
Everyone at the club wishes Sam all the best for the remainder of the season.
