Crawley Town FC are delighted to announce its new partnership with popular, Worthing based, catering company Piglet’s Pantry.
Piglet’s Pantry is an Award-Winning food producer based in Worthing, West Sussex. They supply hand filled pies, handmade sausage rolls, cakes and biscuits to venues up and down the UK including but not limited to Football, Rugby, Cricket & Horseracing venues. Piglet’s started as a little seed of an idea when the founder, Jo, left the corporate world and set out to fulfil her dream of setting up a bakery. In May 2011 they beat over 100 pie makers in the UK and several pie-offs to win the contract to supply Brighton & Hove Albion FC, moving into the American Express Community Stadium to hand-make 2,500 pies per game. Doors opened on the first game and within 15 minutes of opening the pies had SOLD OUT. Piglet’s core business used to be primarily their award-winning pies but now, as customer needs have changed, they have shifted to other products including, sausage rolls, patisserie, and lines such as bespoke hampers and Afternoon Tea boxes.
We are looking forward to bolstering our catering options ahead of the new season with the addition of Piglet’s Pantry products to our food outlets around the stadium. For the friendly against QPR on Saturday 9th July we will be exclusively serving Piglet’s Pantry products in our food outlets and in the Mayo Wynne Baxter Hospitality Suite. For the first home league match against Leyton Orient on Saturday 6th August we will be running our full extensive menu upon the installation of new catering equipment. We also plan for busier matches to bring in additional support through catering vans.
Revenue Manager at Crawley Town FC, Alex Watts, said: “To be partnered with an experienced and popular catering company like Piglet’s Pantry is a fantastic step for the club. Piglet’s are a local business too so Steve, Nicky and the team absolutely understand the importance of the fans and the local community. We will be running a reduced offering for the match on Saturday against QPR however upon the delivery of new catering equipment we plan to again make improvements to the catering side of our matchday experience.”
