This Saturday, as the Reds prepare to face tough opposition in AFC Wimbledon, two of the club's fans will be enduring a tough test of their own as they walk the 25.6 miles between the Broadfield Stadium and the Cherry Red Records Stadium (Plough Lane).
Brothers Kevin and Nick Burgess have signed up to Fans vs Dementia, which is run by Dementia UK to support the families of those living with dementia. Nick and Kevin are looking to raise £300 for the excellent cause and have already raised 45% of their target.
The pair plan to set off from the Broadfield Stadium at about 01:00 AM on Saturday, the 20th of January, which will see them arrive at the ground of AFC Wimbledon with plenty of time before the match.
A ball signed by the first team will also be auctioned off as part of the fundraising campaign.
