This Friday (16th June) sees the draw for round one of recently-branded Carabao Cup, which will be streamed live from Bangkok, Thailand at 1:00pm (UK time). The draw is regionalised, with the Reds in the South non-seeded group.
That means Harry Kewell’s men could face the likes of Aston Villa, Reading, Wolves, or Norwich City, home or away.

Fixture release day then follows that on Wednesday, June 21st, and fans will then be able to start planning their trips for the new season as we’ll find out our first opponents of the 2017-18 campaign.

There will be plenty of opportunities to watch the Reds play over the festive period, with full fixture programmes on Saturday December 23rd, Boxing Day, Saturday, December 30th and Monday, January 1st, 2018.
The EFL Sky Bet League two season will commence from the weekend of August 5th, with the first round of the Carabao Cup the following week (w/c August 7th). The Checkatrade Trophy then begins on August 28th. The League Two season will come to an end on the weekend of May 5th, 2018.
