Reds sign Coventry striker Shaun Miller on a month's loan

The club are delighted to confirm the arrival of striker Shaun Miller, who has joined us on an emergency loan from our SkyBet League One rivals Coventry City.

The 27-year-old will be available until after the home game against Colchester United on December 28.

Manager John Gregory said: “I’m really pleased to get this one over the line as Shaun has been on our radar for a little while.

“He has scored goals at League One level throughout his career and we think he can give us a boost at just the right time.

“He’s definitely got an eye for goal and he also works extremely hard for the team with and without the ball. We’re looking forward to seeing him in a Crawley Town shirt and I’m sure our fans will make him feel welcome on Saturday at the Chesterfield game.”

Cheshire-born Shaun started his career at Crewe and in six seasons there made 179 League and Cup appearances and scored 43 goals.

In 2012 Shaun moved to Sheffield United and scored nine times in 35 games for the Blades.

He made the move to the Sky Blues during the summer and played against Reds in the 2-2 draw at the Ricoh Arena in October.

He is pictured (above) challenging Jimmy Smith during the game.

Shaun has scored twice in 12 games for Coventry this season against Cardiff and Bristol City, with ten of those appearances coming as a substitute.

He will wear the No.17 shirt.
